OBITUARY: Robert Lee Buchanan

Robert Lee Buchanan, age 85, of Dickson, passed from this life on September 11, 2022 in his home surrounded by family. He was born in Nashville, TN, on September 15, 1936, to the late Hubert Lee and Mary P. Dickerson Buchanan. Robert was a Draftsman by trade, belonging to the Local #492 Iron Worker’s Union for over 60 years. He was Penecostal by faith. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, tending to his cattle on his farm, and spending time at the river. His favorite sports teams included the Braves, the Titans, and the UT Vols. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son: Randy Buchanan; his grandson: Caleb Buchanan; and his brother: Raymond Buchanan. Survivors include his loving wife: Jackie LaRose Buchanan; his sons: Keith Buchanan (Candi) and Ricky LaRose, both of Dickson; his daughter: Debbie Hamilton, of Dickson; his brothers: Jimmy Buchanan (Carol), and Paul Buchanan, both of Dickson; his sister: Imogene Leonard (Dave) of Nashville; his grandchildren: Lindsey Dawson (Matt), Lee Tidwell (Marcy), Kimberly Tidwell, and Lacy Erranton (Mike); his great-grandchildren: Ryan Dawson and Ella Marie Dawson; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home.
