Sweet Repeats Consignment Sale to Take Consignments End of March

Sweet Repeats is a twice a year pop-up consignment sale in Dickson, Tennessee held in the back of the YMCA. The sale has been operating for almost 30 years, formerly under the name Jack and Jill. It is open for two weeks starting with a week for drop-off, then a week for the public sale. The sale is open to the public from March 31 until April 6, 2023. They will be taking consignment items by appointment from March 26 through March 29.

Ten years ago, Becca Eutsler started consigning at the sales and she has now taken it over. Being a mother of three, she knows the importance of keeping the high-quality consignment sale going. It is actually a side-gig. She has a full-time job. This is a labor of love.

“I strive to always #belocal and be a resource to help families provide for their children,” she says on the sale’s website. “We are always looking for ways to build bridges to give back to the local community, so if you have an idea of how we can work together, please let me know!”

Everyone thinks of this as a kid’s sale because it focuses on children’s clothing, toys, furniture and bedding, but Eutsler notes that she also carries a lot of adult home goods and furniture. Consignment sales are not garage sales.  Items are not at garage sale prices, but are much more affordable than when purchased new.

Anyone can consign items for kids, teens and home items with Sweet Repeats. All Eutsler requests is that each consignor has a minimum of 25 acceptable items. There is a whole process that consignors need to go through to get their merchandise into the sale. Check out the process here. Each consignor receives one Pre-Sale Pass and one Guest Pass to shop before the sale opens to the public. Consignors also receive a Half-Price Pass to shop discount days before the public.

Pulling the sale together takes a lot of volunteers to set up, work the days of the sale and to pull everything together at the end and tear it all down. Volunteers receive a number of perks, like early shopping and food and drink while they are working. Consignors also get perks by becoming volunteers. All the volunteer details are here.

“This consignment sale is ALWAYS great,” said one reviewer, “but this season it is even BETTER due to its new location at the YMCA (it changed in 2020)! The venue is a well-lit, air conditioned, spacious location that allows a larger selection of items and a comfortable place to shop. I love this sale because there’s something for everyone and it’s a huge support for Dickson and surrounding communities!”

“Consigning with this sale is something I look forward to twice a year,” said another reviewer. “I am able to supplement my income as well as offset the expense of what I purchase at the sale. I am able to find clothing and shoes for my three children at affordable prices. There are name brand products that “choosy” tweens and teens like mine love. There is something for all ages from newborn to junior, including maternity. I started volunteering a few years ago to take advantage of its perks, one being shopping earlier to get “first pick”, and it has definitely paid off. I have met a great group of moms and grandmothers who also enjoy volunteering and make it feel less like work and more like a family reunion.”

Now is the time to start prepping items for the sale and signing up for volunteer time. For more information see the website or email Eutsler at sweetrepeatsconsignments17@gmail.com.
